I hear people all the time say, but Wayne, “I don’t like to sell. How can I be successful in my own business?”

My response to that statement may surprise you.   You don’t like selling, that’s great . . . because people don’t like to be sold.

Now, don’t misunderstand me here.  People do like to buy . . . they just simply don’t want to feel like they’re pressured into buying something.  If you understand this concept, then you understand the difference between Sales and Marketing.  The difference will make you . . . or break you.

If you haven’t read it, Napoleon Hill’s “Think and Grow Rich” will greatly influence your thinking. There’s a reason why it’s titled “Think and Grow Rich“, and not “Work Hard and Grow Rich” or “Get a Job and Grow Rich”

The fact is - people who work the hardest do not grow rich.

Have you ever heard someone say, “It’s just easier to do it myself than to get others to do it“?  If so, then they are shooting themselves in the foot and sabotaging their financial well being.

The number one reason people fail to achieve their financial goals is that they not grasping the meaning of the Time/Productivity connection.

When people say, “I’m too busy, or I don’t have enough time” it’s because they lack the understanding of how powerful an investment it is to train others so you get more done. People fail here because normally it’s not rewarding to train others your expertise because maybe they’ll take it and profit from it without you.  That’s a loser mentality.

The main key to your success in any endeavour is you.  In order to earn more, you must learn more, and learning is a never-ending process.

We often think we’re stuck with who we are. Have you ever said to yourself… “If I was only a little better at “so-and-so”, then I’d be successful.” Well, you can get better at “so-and-so” if you put your mind to it and improve your skills.

The Bible tells us to pay our taxes “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, . . . ” (Matthew 22:21 NIVBut it doesn’t tell us to overpay.

That’s what most Americans are doing - overpaying their taxes to the tune of Billions of dollars each year.  We can be better stewards of our money than that.

I really don’t mind paying taxes - it means that I’m making money.  Actually, you can say I enjoy paying taxes.  I enjoy it even more paying half as much.

How do I do this you ask? Read on.
