“Never let the fear of striking out get in you way.”  Babe Ruth

Play Ball!!  Spring training’s over and MLB has started another season.  I’m not the most avid fan in the world but do try to make it to several games a year.  Being from Atlanta…I’m a Braves fan.

Before you worry about WEB 2.0… you need to focus on YOU 1.0!

There’s a lot of buzz all over the internet about Web 2.0.  This is a great way to generate FREE Leads and traffic to your site and build relationships.

But hold your horses before you get too excited.  Web 2.0 marketing is VERY effective - for certain people.

“What do you mean Wayne - for certain people.   I keep hearing Web 2.0 is the answer for everybody’s prayer who’s ever failed at marketing before?”

We’ve all heard of the term ‘book marking.’ How many of us know about ‘social bookmarking?’

We use the Web for different purposes. Many of us look for particular information that is connected to our relevant field of study or expertise. Sometimes we choose to save such useful information, which we might refer to at a later time.

It was a general habit for people to organize their bookmarks of online resources in different folders in the web browser. To save us from the difficulty of finding our huge collection of references social bookmarking is used these days.

Do you know millions of people show great interest in joining MySpace, Squidoo, YouTube, etc? These are very popular social networking sites. These serve as perfect advertising medium for online businesses. You could generate your targeted traffic by using social networking sites. Social networking is the heart of Web 2.0 marketing.

Here are some useful tips on how you could promote your business through social networking sites:

  1. You could widen your network – You could search for members who share the same interests as you and invite them to see your website to check out your product or service. This is a great way to generate leads at no out-of-pocket cost.

I have to admit, up until 6 months ago I though MySpace was a place just for teenagers. But I’ve learned that marketing on MySpace is a great FREE way to build a business without having to spend money on leads, banner ads or other expensive advertising.

The key to success in marketing on MySpace is to use The Law of Attraction to attract the right people to partner with and build your business. The key is to make yourself ATTRACTIVE – not in the good-looking sense, although that doesn’t hurt but I mean in the partnering with like-minded people sense.

It saddens me to see so many people struggle with their lives – especially their finances.  Each of us has a purpose in life but there’s a problem: Most people can’t live out their dreams because they’re too busy “making a living.”

Well it doesn’t have to be that way.  It’s my vision to help as many people as possible create personal success…and that includes financial success.

Money won’t make you happy,
but the lack of it can make you very unhappy

I hear people all the time say, but Wayne, “I don’t like to sell. How can I be successful in my own business?”

My response to that statement may surprise you.   You don’t like selling, that’s great . . . because people don’t like to be sold.

Now, don’t misunderstand me here.  People do like to buy . . . they just simply don’t want to feel like they’re pressured into buying something.  If you understand this concept, then you understand the difference between Sales and Marketing.  The difference will make you . . . or break you.

Want to be successful in your online business and make a ton of money?  Well you better pay attention to trends.  Studying trends and then tapping into emerging markets early is key to positioning yourself for online success.

Trends create marketing revolutions.  One revolution that is currently on fire is the social networking revolution. If you properly position yourself here, you can change your life forever.

One great tool to help in identifying trends is Google Trends.  Look at the graphs below for three keywords: (1) online marketing, (2) social networking, and (3) blogging.

Google Trends

If you’re selling a product online… say an eBook that generates $50 in commission, how many would you have to sell to make $1,000?  20

If you’re selling a product online that generates a whopping $1,000 per sale, how many do you have to sell to make $1,000?  Only ONE.

Now which one do you think would be easier to accomplish?

I promise you, it’s much easier to sell the ONE vs. the 20… even with the price differential.

The thought that a low-ticket item is easier to sell is just a myth.

Look at it another way… do you think it would be easier to sell a Malibu or an Lexus?
